Theses and Dissertation Guidelines

Your Research Journey, Supported Every Step of the Way

Writing a thesis or dissertation is one of the most demanding academic undertakings you will face. At Keynea Research Consultancy, we have supported hundreds of Master’s and PhD students across Kenya and East Africa — and we understand exactly where the process gets hard.

This page explains how we work, what we cover, and what to expect when you engage us.

What We Support

We work with students at every stage — whether you are choosing a topic on day one or stuck on Chapter Four two weeks before submission.

Topic Selection and Problem Formulation A weak research problem is the most common reason proposals get rejected. We help you identify a topic that is specific, researchable, and aligned to your field — then sharpen it into a clear research problem, objectives, and questions that will hold up under scrutiny.

Concept Paper and Proposal Writing We write full research proposals for both Master’s and PhD level, structured to meet your university’s requirements. This includes the introduction, background, problem statement, objectives, research questions, literature review, and methodology. We handle referencing in APA, Harvard, Chicago, or any other required style.

Full Thesis and Dissertation Writing For students who need comprehensive support, we can develop all chapters from scratch — Chapter One through Five — or support individual chapters where you are stuck. Every deliverable is structured, properly referenced, and aligned to your institution’s formatting guidelines.

Chapter Four: Data Analysis and Interpretation This is where most students stall. We analyse your data using SPSS, STATA, R, or NVivo and write a complete, well-interpreted Chapter Four — including tables, figures, and a coherent narrative that links findings back to your objectives.

Literature Review Structuring We do not write literature reviews that are just summaries of sources. We build thematic, critically engaged reviews that position your study within the existing body of knowledge.

Editing, Proofreading, and Formatting Before submission, we review your document for language, argument flow, consistency, and formatting — ensuring it reads as a coherent, polished piece of academic work.

Plagiarism and AI Removal We run Turnitin checks and address similarity issues. We also offer AI content removal and humanisation for documents flagged by GPTZero or Originality.ai — verified clean before delivery.

Proposal Defence Preparation We prepare PowerPoint slides for your proposal or final defence and run mock sessions to help you anticipate examiner questions and respond with confidence.

How We Work

1. Initial Consultation Contact us by phone, WhatsApp, or email. We discuss your topic, institution, deadline, and where you are in the process. No commitment required at this stage.

2. Scope and Quotation We give you a clear breakdown of what is involved and a transparent quote. No hidden charges. For larger projects — full thesis writing, for example — we offer milestone-based payments so you are not paying everything upfront.

3. Research and Writing We assign a consultant with expertise in your subject area. You receive drafts at agreed milestones and are kept informed throughout.

4. Review and Revision You review each deliverable and give feedback. Revisions within the agreed scope are free. We work until you are satisfied.

5. Final Delivery You receive a complete, formatted, plagiarism-checked document, ready for submission.

What Makes Us Different

Most consultancies treat every student the same. We do not. A Master’s student at a Kenyan university and a PhD candidate publishing in an international journal have very different needs — and we tailor our approach accordingly.

Our team includes researchers with postgraduate qualifications in education, public health, business, social sciences, agriculture, and STEM. When you work with us, you are working with someone who understands your field, not a generalist who writes everything the same way.

We are also strict about deadlines. If we commit to a timeline, we keep it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my project kept confidential? Completely. We do not share client work, discuss projects with third parties, or retain documents after delivery. Your research is yours.

Can you work with my university’s specific format? Yes. Share your institution’s guidelines and we follow them exactly — chapter structure, referencing style, margin requirements, everything.

What if I only need help with one chapter? That is fine. We support single chapters as well as full documents. Just tell us what you need.

How long does it take? It depends on the scope. A single chapter can be ready in 5–10 days. A full proposal typically takes 2–3 weeks. A complete thesis is planned on a milestone schedule we agree together.

Do you work with PhD students? Yes. We have supported PhD candidates through proposals, literature reviews, data analysis, and full dissertation writing across multiple disciplines.
